Project Overview

Tasked with a complete overhaul in Ridsdale, our landscape team took on a project with a vision to craft a versatile outdoor space tailored for relaxation, social events, and culinary exploits in the garden.

 

Client’s Challenge

The original garden was compact and underutilised, falling short of the client’s expectation for a dynamic entertaining and leisure environment. The goal was clear: to creatively maximise the outdoor area to accommodate lounging, social gatherings, and a love for homemade cooking and gardening.

 

Our Solution

To unlock the full potential of the space, we devised a multi-level design, immediately amplifying the garden’s functionality. The ground level was fashioned into an inviting hosting and seating area, featuring an innovative, marble-clad pizza-making corner, infusing a taste of al fresco dining into the design.

Ascending to the garden’s upper tier, we meticulously crafted four robust sleeper planters, perfectly suited for the cultivation of a variety of seasonal vegetables – an essential for any homegrown produce enthusiast. During the excavation phase, we unearthed unused stone, which we cleverly repurposed to establish elegant borders, enhancing the garden’s overall charm and framing the newly tiered areas with grace.

Adjacent to their cosy garden snug, we laid a charming patio that provided the homeowners with yet another tranquil nook for unwinding outdoors, further cementing the space’s appeal as an inviting extension of the home’s living area.
